All the shooters who participated in this group had experience playing in the Olympics. He was also older than me. So it was not easy to win a medal in this group, “said Swapnil. He also won a gold medal in the team category at the World Cup in Delhi last year.
A native of Kambalwadi near Kolhapur, Swapnil was admitted to the Sports Academy in Sangli in 2008 and preferred shooting when choosing sports next year. He practiced at the Nashik Center of Krida Prabodhini from 2009 to 2014.
After getting a job in Central Railway, he moved to Pune and started training at Balewadi Stadium. Swapnil, who has been training under the guidance of former Olympian Deepali Deshpande, is now looking forward to playing in the Olympics herself.
