Mumbai police have arrested two 19-year-old boys and two minors for allegedly stealing gold ornaments from a temple in Dahisar. Police said the incident was reported after an official reached the Gautam Ghosh temple at 4 am on Thursday.
Ghosh has alleged that gold jewelery worth Rs 1.97 lakh and a mobile phone were stolen between 10.30 pm on Wednesday and 4 am on Thursday.
A case was registered accordingly. Police then checked CCTV footage during which they identified a suspect.
“We had spread his image among our informants, who informed us of a suspect named Ajay Chaalke. We were told that he was at Anand Nagar in Dahisar, then a squad was sent and he was arrested, ”an official said.
