Ranji Trophy Final: Shaw, Jaiswal Duo made a Great Start for Mumbai.

The final match of the Ranji Trophy cricket tournament between Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh is being played today (Wednesday). Today is the first day of this match. Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

To date, Mumbai has won the tournament 41 times. In the 88-year-old history, Mumbai has won the most number of titles. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh reached the final only once in the 1998-99 season and clinched the runners-up spot.

This season, Mumbai drew with Uttar Pradesh in the semi-finals and advanced to the final on the strength of their first innings lead. Madhya Pradesh defeated Bengal by 174 runs in the semi-finals to reach the final once again in 23 years.

After Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first, Jaiswal and captain Prithvi Shaw came to the Jade salute. Madhya Pradesh skipper Aditya Srivastava gave the first over to left-arm spinner Kumar Karthikeyan. Mumbai are 65 not out in 19 overs.
