Indian Squad for Women’s Hockey World Cup Announced; Involvement of Phaltan Inertia Lumps.

Hockey India announces Indian women’s hockey team for FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup The tournament will be held in the Netherlands and Spain from July 1 to 17. The team consists of 20 players, including Akshata Abasa Dhekale from Phaltan taluka in Satara district of Maharashtra. The Indian team will be led by veteran goalkeeper Savita and vice-captain Deep Grace Ekka.

The Indian team has reached the semi-finals of the tournament in London. The score remained 0-0 in the allotted time. Ireland beat the team 3-1 in the shootout. Ireland then played the final of the World Cup. Commenting on the current selection of the team, head coach Jenke Shopman said: “We have selected the best team for the World Cup.

With the exception of Rani, who is recovering from an injury, the team includes Olympians Jyoti and Sonica, who did well when given the opportunity. Sangeeta and Akshata Dhekle will be with us as substitutes. The Indian hockey team will play their group matches in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, and if they win the group, they will also play in the semi-finals at Amstelveen.
