BENGALURU: Actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant has been arrested for allegedly taking drugs during a party at a hotel in Bengaluru, police said today.
On a tip-off, police raided a party at the Park Hotel and sent samples of about 35 guests for medical testing. Five guests tested positive for drugs and Siddhant Kapoor was one of them, officials said.
Siddhant Kapoor was invited to the party as a DJ. Five others have been arrested.
“A total of five people, including Siddhant Kapoor, have been arrested after a positive test for drug use. All of them have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act,” said Bhimashankar S Guled, district police director general of the eastern division.
Mr Guled said all five would be produced before a court today.
It was not immediately clear if he had taken drugs to the hotel or to the party, officials said.
