After a long wait, heavy rains finally lashed Pune and its environs on Friday, with all Punekars experiencing the same problem as usual. The Pune Observatory recorded 26 mm of rain during this hour and a half from 4 pm to 5.30 pm. Lohgaon received 32 mm of rainfall. This first rain of the season caused regular problems such as overgrowth, water logging, traffic jams, power outages on the citizens of the smart city.
The first week of June was cloudy in the city, but the rains were light. Just as the game of wool and cloudy air continued till noon on Friday, around four o’clock a sudden heavy rain began. Heavy rains lashed most parts of the city, including thunderstorms and lightning. It rained heavily for about half to half an hour. The heavy rains caused problems in the city.
