A 35-year-old farmer was killed when his tractor got stuck in a rotavator while he was cultivating the land at Takli Vatpal farm in the taluka. The deceased was identified as Hingane Gawhad, 35, of Suma Ras Shatrughan Samadhan Titre on Friday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, Shatrughan Samadhan Titre Takli died on the spot after he got stuck in a rotavator while working in a field at Vasudev Jamav’s farm in Vatpal. As soon as the villagers of Vatpal got the information about the incident, all the villagers rushed to the spot for help and informed the incident to the police station at Chandur Biswa. Police have arrived at the spot and further investigation is underway.
Due to rains, agricultural work in the district has gained momentum. Machinery is used for modern farming in addition to traditional farming. Tractors, rotavators are used for farming. Accidents occur if the machine is handled incorrectly. The death of a young farmer in the village has caused a stir.
